To wonder who lives in adult residential college

I’ve applied for an adult only college and waiting to hear back. I will be travelling in but they have accommodation but it’s only 38 weeks and you have to have a permanent address to rent a room there. Surely people don’t give up rental accommodation or their mortgages to live somewhere for 38 weeks and if you were homeless you wouldn’t be to rent a room there as you need an address where you normally live. It’s from age Nineteen.

I suspect students from abroad would live in. Is there a high number of international applicants?

Surely it'd be their parent's address if young adults can apply?

People could use parents (or family or friends address).

If renting somewhere else they could give notice on the old place, move to the college for the course, then rent somewhere new afterwards. If they own, they might rent their home out.

I went back to uni to do a masters in my mid30s, rented out a room in my own property (different city) to cover the mortgage for a year, got a college room to get the proper uni experience, and still used my room in the holidays. Was awesome!

Adult only means over 18. Lots of people still live with their parents for years beyond this and will therefore have a permanent address

Somewhere like Hillcroft, a lot of mature women who missed out on FE first time round.

But this sounds just like uni accomodation? You will get young adults moving out from parents home & returning there in holidays. Many people will want to do this for social reasons.
