To want a pair of leggings that you can't see my knickers through!!

I need leggings for my job- SEN teacher lots of running after the kids, on floor outside a lot constantly moving etc.

All the leggings I but seem to go see through on the bum! I always wear a long top or shirt but inevitably when crawling about on floor or up a climbing frame I don't want my pants on show!

I totally cringe when I see this happen to others and don't want to be that person!
What do they make them with?!?

Please give me your best legging recommendations!!

Love leggings. Amazing and non see through!

OwlinaTree · 08/09/2020 22:32

I had some thick ones from h and m at one point. Also buy a bigger size than you would usually, more bum coverage!

StormBaby · 08/09/2020 22:33

I get mine from ASOS and they are brilliant

WineIsMyMainVice · 08/09/2020 22:35

Sainsbury’s. I always buy theirs. They do two sorts, a cheaper pair but it’s the more pricey pair I mean. Around £10 I think but they’re worth it.

BigBlondeBimbo · 08/09/2020 22:35

I second going up a size or go for the bigger one if you're between sizes. Next used to do some good, big thick ones.

TheFormidableMrsC · 08/09/2020 22:36

Love Leggings. Marvellous they are.

Rumtopf · 08/09/2020 22:38

Next. They do some high waisted extra thick ones that are fab. Definitely not see through and so comfy, a bit more expensive but worth it.

MaverickDanger · 08/09/2020 22:38

Also on the Love Leggings hype!

So thick you could almost just wear them as trousers!

Happycow · 08/09/2020 22:38

Sainsbury's Luxury ones (£10 a pair) or Love Leggings!!!

tortillachipsanddips · 08/09/2020 22:39

I had great ones from fat face they were thick

FingersCrossedForAllOfUs · 08/09/2020 22:41

If you are wearing black leggings what colour underwear are you wearing? I only ask because it might be worth trying flesh coloured underwear I’m sure I heard they don’t show through the same way as white or black ones would.
I love these Maine ones from Debenhams and live in them TBH. I’m not sure if they are strictly leggings, maybe a bit thicker but not as thick as jogging bottoms. See what you think.
Please note I bought mine last year so I’m assuming they haven’t changed the design or material since then! www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10701_10001_020010248160_-1

Carolina dress room do thick and really funky ones!

honeygirlz · 08/09/2020 22:50

It's not something I've worried about as I only wear leggings with a top that covers my bum! I thought that was the etiquette (apart from in gym/running)?

In the gym, I don't mind if VPL shows.

Yeah, you're right, but op has explained why she prefers to wear leggings to work and why she sometimes, inadvertently shows her pants area!
Mallysmomma · 08/09/2020 22:52

Love leggings are fab. Not expensive and defo not see-through. I’m a plus size gal and even on me no glimpses of undies at all. X

Jarstastic · 08/09/2020 23:10

Fat face ones are quite thick. Was shocked when I caught sight of myself in the mirror in M&S ones, so thin!
