If Waitrose charges for collection ...

that they should train their staff so they're not rude.
Waitrose charges £2 now for you to collect your order and the experience just leaves you feeling pissed off. Very rude young staff who appear to be trying to be as blatantly rude as possible. And the necessity for wearing masks seems to have given them permission to talk to you as though you were stupid. Very unsatisfactory experience!

Complain to waitrose!

Is that Click And Collect for groceries? I’ve found that a bit haphazard in the past but never intentionally rude.

FirstOfficerDouglas · 08/09/2020 17:35

Very unusual for Waitrose. Only ever had polite helpful team.
Was the £2 for the picking and packing - that takes time.

What was the exchange?

PinkiOcelot · 08/09/2020 17:37

Don’t they all charge for collection?

No excuse for rudeness. Complain.

Yunis · 08/09/2020 17:37

£2 for someone to gather all your groceries for pick up is a bargain.
Have you told Waitrose your complaint as if there is training issues that would be the best course of action?

The staff at my local Waitrose are wonderful so it's not all of them! Maybe they need some training or have had a bad day - no excuse but they're human and it happens.

hungrypenguin · 08/09/2020 17:52

It was for a John Lewis online purchase which you have to pay £2 to collect from Waitrose.
Some staff are good and others , like today, unhelpful to say the least.

My local waitrose staff are great, it's some of the customers who are rude.

If you have a Waitrose receipt, there is a website address on it where you can review your visit. Maybe mention what happened in that. If you have a John Lewis receipt, there might be a similar thing on there.
