Holly and Phil - new dynamic

In noticing a new dynamic between Holly and Phil? She seems less engaged with him and he looks a bit worn down/ eager to please/ like the underdog? Not sure if I'm imagining it or if something has changed? That easy friendship doesn't seem to be there to me just now.

It’s widely known she’s thinking of leaving. Josie Gibson at the naturist reserve was more of a shocker to me today.

I haven't noticed, they still seem good friends, none of the live programs feel the same at the moment with the social distancing though.

As we can slag off Jamie Oliver On Mumsnet I will slag off Philip schofield. How the heck did he get away with claiming he was straight and parading his relationship with his wife when he is gay? And why does he STILL carry on as if he didn't deceive and lie to the entire nation? And no, I'm not homophobic.

I’m not convinced about Philip schofield being gay. It’s very convenient that he says he isn’t ready for a relationship with a man.

Think about it. If You leave your wife of 30 odd years for another women or because you are bored, you get slated as a mid life crisis sleazy cheater, and that would be harmful to his career given a mostly female audience or a certain age, lots of whom will have had the dirty done to them by their ex husbands etc.

However

Leave your wife, and say you are gay and only just coming out due to societal pressure in previous times when you were young, and ta da! Everyone thinks you are so ‘brave’ and they all feel sorry for you and try and sympathise with your internal anguish. Plus you get to carry on flirting with your younger co star without any raised eyebrows.

If you ask me he has a brilliant publicist/ manager.

I am expecting him to decide he is actually Bi sexual soon, and then shortly afterwards we’ll see him with some 25 year old wanna be female celebrity. And he’ll just look like a creep like Gary Linekar 🤷🏼‍♀️

@crumbleonsunday I don't watch their programme, but who cares if he's gay? Why does it matter to anybody apart from his wife and family and the people he is close with?
What's it got to do with his presenting skills? He's not presenting in a fishnet body stocking and wearing a big glittery butt plug.

Additionally being Gay or Bi or any member of the LGBT community is very fashionable at the moment. But a mid life crisis is never on trend.

(I do appreciate that people who actually are members of the LGBTQ community are not doing it to be fashionable and they dont care whether it’s fashionable or not. Just that at the moment it’s a ‘cool’ thing to belong to. And about time too )

I honestly couldn't care about him being gay.
The thing I'm cynical about though is the timing of it. He chose to do it when all the news was about him being a nasty piece of work and stories of complaints about him were all over.
Then the next minute he's made his announcement and suddenly he's so brave and all the criticism seems to have disappeared.

Were the accusations made by the runner proven false?

I worked in tv and heard rumours about him being gay 15 years ago. I assumed the announcement was for viewing figures.

I think they’ll both be off that show soon whether they jump or they’re pushed. It seems that people are really irritated by them now. They’re both really smug so I’m not surprised

He's creepy and narcissistic and totally lacking in talent.

crumbleonsunday Spot on!! I can’t stand him. Fern was practically lynched for not wanting to tell all and sundry about her gastric band. He’s lied to everyone for a lifetime about who he really is. TV Philip I imagine, is a world away from the real one.

I find Holly fake, she is smiley all the bloody time nothing is that funny. All the childish innuendo gets a bit tiring.

Holly looks like a mean person, imo. Phil just is empty headed and trying very too hard to be likeable (obviously he knows he isn't).

I never liked Jamie Oliver, but I have to admit I enjoyed and was impressed by his lockdown "what to cook when there's sod all in your cupboards except a lobster, an elderly shrivelled beetroot, and a tin of scotch broth" series.

I saw a new side to him and I thought that he wasn't so bad after all.
