AIBU to suggest that it's unfortunate that the school Boris visited now has Covid-19 cases

Do you remember the school that Boris visited the week before last? The newspapers were debating whether the school librarian was making a cryptic message to Boris. They now have their first Covid-19 case in a staff member with children having to isolated.
Do you think the press will have a field day with this?

No, because unless it’s an article about ‘get back to school’, ‘schools are Covid secure’ and ‘pupils do not transmit the virus to adults’ then anything else about schools isn’t reported.

That's just classic, sounds like something from The Thick Of It.

It'll go round SM presumably even if the BBC etc don't mention it.

The school was Castle Rock in Coalville. They posted on Facebook last night that a teacher has tested positive along with a list of groups that now have to isolate. Bearing in mind it can take up to 14 days for symptoms to appear. Who knows? Maybe Boris brought it up to the Midlands from Westminster?

Well it is Boris, teacher better take a pregnancy test too.

Sorry but how is Boris still infectious after having Covid in April or whenever it was?

MoggyP · 07/09/2020 06:43

I don't think even Boris would still be infectious after having the disease back in April....

blanketyblankchequebook · 07/09/2020 06:44

@BorisandHarriet
It was actually tongue in cheek as there was a lot of speculation at the time as to whether he even had Covid-19 in April (I believe he did).

I see from your username you are in an imaginary couple with our PM, Harriet? Grin

@ChanceChanceChance 😂 I forgot my username! It’s one I created years ago before Boris was PM.

Only if you're regurgitating the bottom feeders of the Internet, and are prepared to believe that scores of NHS staff were all complicit in a cover up.

I think the op was just making a light-hearted remark.

Me too

nosswith · 07/09/2020 07:16

The librarian admitted her book placement was to have a go at the school and done months earlier.

The unfortunate thing was that Mr Johnson visited the school. Poor children having to go through life with that mental scar.

Lol @TheQueef

This does sound like something from Yes Prime Minister.

I am sure it's just coincidence. And it's awful for everyone involved.

But yes, it is a good headline.
