Hi, I'm not sure whether I should be worried or not? So I'm here to ask for others experiences!
I had surgery last year, I got changed in to the gown myself and had to wear paper knickers which they gave me!
When I had come out of surgery and was encouraged to get up to use the toilet, I found that the paper knickers were now missing.
I was a bit tired and groggy and then forgot about it really.
Don't get me wrong, I haven't lost sleep over this and I know there will be an innocent explanation, I just thought they would have let me know,
Tia

They don’t let you know. They catherteriae you as standard, even if you’re only under for 30 mins at my local hospital.
My SIL went in for surgery with her normal underwear on and woke up with it no where to be found. She didn’t even know she had been Catherterised until she asked someone where her underwear was.

Nothing to worry about Smile

What surgery were you having down? Depending on how the patient is positioned those paper knickers have a vicious elastic in them that can really cut into you so they get removed.

DD went in for an operation under GA with her normal underwear on and I got given them in a bag afterwards
