I would say currently it's Geoff from Corrie.

OP posts:

Mary from Little House on the Prairie,
Rilla, Anne of Green Gables series,
Barry Lyndon.

See I loved the book (despite King's rather annoying habit of going off on huge tangents all the time...) but Tozier was so irritating, with his different accents.
I'm not one for supporting cruelty to children but I was hoping to the book Gods that he'd get murdered by IT.

Same here I loved the book but he was awful.

Bbq1 · 06/09/2020 18:33

No no no...not Cathy and Heathcliff!!

Graymare · 06/09/2020 18:35

Oh and Amelia in Vanity Fair!

MrsMayo · 06/09/2020 18:37

Phil Mitchell - very red and angry (well he was when I used to watch Eastenders). I loved Grant though.

HoneysuckIejasmine · 06/09/2020 18:38

Elinor Oliphant. So annoying I never did find out if she really was completely fine and I don't give a fuck either.

MrsZola · 06/09/2020 18:39

Lucie Manette in A Tale of Two Cities. She needed a good slap and certainly didn't deserve anyone dying for her!

spandexonmars · 06/09/2020 18:40

Ronald Miller (played by Patrick Dempsey) in the film "Can't Buy Me Love".

SunsetBeetch · 06/09/2020 18:40

@Pagwatch

andrea in walking dead (tv)

Mandy in west wing

dr smith in lost in space (niche oldies answer)

Andrea is particularly annoying as the graphic novel version is a great character.
talkingkrustydoll · 06/09/2020 18:41

Lydia and Todd from Breaking Bad
Lisa Simpson such a no it all.
Karen from outnumbered Especially in the later series it's all so try hard.
Jim from Friday night dinner.

EBearhug · 06/09/2020 18:42

Angel Clare. Heathcliffe and Cathy.
Colby in Home and Away has really been pissing me off lately, but trailers suggest he's about to get his comeuppance.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 06/09/2020 18:43

@talkingkrustydoll @JalapenoDave

I am finding some of the language choices very jarring particularly the extreme level of racial slurs and homophobic language, though I accept its true to the era in which it is set.

Youreatragedystartingtohappen · 06/09/2020 18:44

Jenny from Forrest Gump. Despise that character

Marcipex · 06/09/2020 18:44

Dobby

JalapenoDave · 06/09/2020 18:45

@EineReiseDurchDieZeit I get where you're coming from. Personally this didn't offend me (takes a lot of offend me) but I can see why others would find it uncomfortable to read in the modern day.

MrsMayo · 06/09/2020 18:46

In Love Actually Mark played by Andrew Lincoln. What a weirdo.

spandexonmars · 06/09/2020 18:47

The kid in "The Sixth Sense" film. The actor always plays the same role - a very annoying kid/robot kid.

TheSeedsOfADream · 06/09/2020 18:47

Kay Scarpetta's niece.
Harry Potter's bully of a father. (Books and films)
Tonks, Ginny Weasley, Cho Chang (films)

elaine26 · 06/09/2020 18:47

Ani and Winston from 13 reasons why, she's so nosy and a bit stuck up and he is just a wet blanket and thinks he knows everything when ha actually knows nothing

AuntMasha · 06/09/2020 18:48

I had a visceral loathing of Noddy and Big ears as a child.

TooLittleTooLate80 · 06/09/2020 18:49

Whilst I haven't read the book so I don't know if its the same in that but see also Grandpa Joe in the original Willy Wonka film. Stays in bed and has his meals brought to him for years but as soon as Charlie finds the golden ticket he's up and about like an elite gymnast.

TheSeedsOfADream · 06/09/2020 18:49

@talkingkrustydoll

Oh, they're all atrocious in the later Outnumbered. Jake kind of saves the day because he hasn't changed as much as the other two, but it was "please stop it now, you're embarrassing yourselves" for me.
Thurmanmurman · 06/09/2020 18:49

The chipmunks, especially when they sing

steff13 · 06/09/2020 18:49

@TheHappyHerbivore

Mandy in west wing

The only correct response.

She really was the worst.
SaltyAndFresh · 06/09/2020 18:50

Emma Bovary. What a prick she is.
