Sirius Black.

This is quite an obscure one, but there's a thriller called The Forest of Souls by Carla Banks. The death of Eva in that - I wept buckets at the end of that book.

Essie the Nurse in Holby City who died of Cancer. She was on her way to her hastily organised wedding in the hospital chapel and she passed away in her wheelchair en route!

Owen Slater from ‘Boardwalk Empire’. Not that the death was particularly horrific, it just came out of left field and combine it with the reactions of the other characters, watching the scene was like a sucker punch. On the other hand, as a result I was pretty immune to all the deaths in ‘Game of Thrones’.

The talking horses in The Last Battle by C.S. Lewis. It still gives me a lump even though I was 9 years old.

Anna in the book of My Sisters keeper. Hit me like a brick! I’m not a massive reader but it felt so raw and I was crying inconsolably. Only time I ever have with a book! I was even more annoyed when the changed the ending in the film though. It took the whole meaning away!

Lots that have already mentioned, pretty much every death in Greys and Poussey and Doggett from OITNB.

Also Mama Coco in Coco!! That blooming film made me sob more than any other Disney film! Even Lion King and Bambi!!
