Oh god I read that as a young child along with the steadfast tin soldier, and the selfish giant. All depressing as hell

Bim the black eared dog in the book by Gavriil Trojepolski. Read it in a different language as a child and it's devastating.

Caesar (Andy Serkis) in War of the Planet of the Apes. Knew it was coming but still had to shake the tears out of the 3D glasses in the cinema when he died...

There are loads that have really upset me, having read the first few pages, Matthew Cuthbert stands out for me, I read the book aloud to my daughter and it was really hard!

Another one for me was John in the Archers - I had grown up listening with my mum and he was the same age as me.

Arthur in Merlin, it literally ruined the whole series.

And Mrs Frederickson -Ellie- in Up.That was a bad one.
