Ride on

In need of a ride on for a tall 5 year old child, NO pedals (or removable ones), three or four wheels.

All seem to be for younger shorter children. My child has SN so needs something simple but for a taller child.

Hoping the gorgeous people of mumsnet can save their magic wands to find something suitable as I can't...

You can get tricycles up to adult size - Would a small frame one work & take the pedals off?

Some here but Google has lots of suppliers.

If the handle bars are too high a local bike shop would be able to cut them down to give a better ride position.

How about a didi car. Your supposed to drive it by wiggling the steering, but lots of children seem to push them along with their feet at first. They'll take a fully grown adult (yes I may have tested this fully)

Does it need to be a sit on? Micro do a scooter for older/taller children.

There are a couple of balance bikes for older children too, DS had the go glider which lasted till about 9, when he finally got the hang of pedals.

Gonge floor surfer would work well if it's for playing at home
