Ride on

PinkSparkleUnicorns · 06/09/2020 08:06

In need of a ride on for a tall 5 year old child, NO pedals (or removable ones), three or four wheels.

All seem to be for younger shorter children. My child has SN so needs something simple but for a taller child.

Hoping the gorgeous people of mumsnet can save their magic wands to find something suitable as I can't...

Sorry IABU posting here, shamelessly posted in here for traffic...

This thread is quite old now so some of the suggestions may be out of date, but if you’ve landed here looking for ride-on recommendations, we’ve recently updated our best ride-on toys page with lots of great options, as tried and tested by Mumsnet users and their kids. We hope you find it useful.

What about one of those horse things?

You can get tricycles up to adult size - Would a small frame one work & take the pedals off?

Some here but Google has lots of suppliers.

If the handle bars are too high a local bike shop would be able to cut them down to give a better ride position.

Does it need to be a sit on? Micro do a scooter for older/taller children.

There are a couple of balance bikes for older children too, DS had the go glider which lasted till about 9, when he finally got the hang of pedals.

Gonge floor surfer would work well if it's for playing at home
