I don't even know where we will be/who we will be with for Christmas yet. None of the options look that appealing!

omeN666 · 06/10/2007 20:37

I have bought my stuff[smug smiley]

blossomsmine · 06/10/2007 20:38

Oh lovely!! I ANBU then

I am alot worse off this year than usual, suppose we will manage but i have usually started by now. Someone on MN was doing a week by week Christmas planner thing, i wouldn't mind having a look at that again

We will be at my parents on Christmas day and in laws on Boxing Day, which is great moneywise as don't have to buy too much food. I do like the idea of having dinner here but we haven't enough room for a sit down meal for all our families.

i think they must do as the first link is in 'christmas'. Only joined mn in the new year so can't say when they put it on the board. Maybe ask in site stuff section

weepotion · 06/10/2007 21:18

i LOVE xmas and have done since i was wee. it as the one time of the year that seemed really magical in my family ans still is. i will be bringibg dd (5mths) home to spend it with my folks in a big rambling cottage. they are all talking about it already and i dont think she will look like a human ort any of it as they have bought the pudding/snowflake/ elf/ reindeer outfits already.
so looking forward to a special time this year and yep - i have loads of pressies bought already. money is very tight but teh sales were good!

ChantillyLace · 06/10/2007 21:27

I love Christmas!!! I am such a big kid and love the whole idea of it! The lights, the open fire, the tree it all seems so magical!

We see all the family at some time over the CHristmas period though we dont give pressies but that's not what it's about. Obviously the DDs get presents but we havent given each other or the rest of the family presents since we've been together. It's an income thing not a tradition thing.

I love the cheap crackers too! The little plastic pointless toys in them just remind me of my childhood Christmases! I love it love it love it!!

ChantillyLace · 06/10/2007 21:36

Actually I don't have an open fire any more! But there is a nice gap where there used to be one and I fill it with candles!! So very close to the real thing and lights and heats the room just as well!
