To think my local Tesco Express has a poltergeist?

The last two times I have visited a loaf of Hovis has come flying off the shelf in front of me and my glasses have fallen off my face quite dramatically as if flicked off. They never fall off usually! Do you think my local shop is possessed? 😱😱😳😳

Either that or one of the bakery staff has the hots for you and is trying to attract your attention...

Go to Waitrose where the polters throw better quality bread 🥖

EveryPlanetHasAYorkshire · 05/09/2020 18:51

Yes.

rainwaterflow · 05/09/2020 18:56

Well Hovis is fairly soft, so it’s fairly well behaved for a poltergeist. Could have your eye out with a rye.

Be grateful it's not the baked bean tin aisle that's haunted!

kemosabeimalone · 05/09/2020 21:00

GrinGrinGrin... Shame Ghostbusters isn’t real. A bit of 80’s era Bill Murray dealing with ectoplasm in the cake aisle would be a wonderful treat (swoon)!

I had this issue in sainsburys I was taking a short cut down the chocolate aisle and a huge bar of galaxy fell into my basket. Wouldn’t dare mess with a ghost so I bought it

Grin Sounds like good ghosty Ju Ju - you definitely did the right thing!

Imagine being doomed to haunt a Tesco for eternity Confused.

I worked in a bakery selling fresh bread. They did occasionally jump off the shelves at me. Must be bread related

OhMsBeliever · 06/09/2020 16:12

Ooh, this is weird! This happened to me a few times at my local co-op. There must be a family of bread bothering poltergeists around the country.

They're the spirits of ancient bakers and millers, disgusted at what passes for bread these days.
