DH thinks it is sacrilege. I disagree.

It sounds delicious, but would require rigorous testing to avoid biscuit disintegration and nasty bits at the bottom of the teacup. Hypothetically I can imagine a reasonable dunk length, enhanced by the jam, but the shortbread may be the rate limiting step.

As long as you aren't using those dodgers with marshmallow in them because frankly, that's perverted.

WhyIsItSoHardToPickAUsername · 05/09/2020 17:24

It's lovely.

The best biscuits dipped in tea are Viennese sandwiches though

itsgettingweird · 05/09/2020 17:26

Nope.

Common sense tells me that's the perfect and correct way to eat them!

ipswichwitch · 05/09/2020 17:26

Yes, YABU. Everyone knows hob nobs are the dunking biscuit of choice. Heathen.

itsgettingweird · 05/09/2020 17:26

Although I drink coffee and my biscuits are GF 🤣

SummerHouse · 05/09/2020 17:28

So long as that's not a euphemism, you are good to go.

sapnupuas · 05/09/2020 17:28

Also try putting peanut butter on them (instead of dunking)

IAmTooBloodyHot · 05/09/2020 17:29

YANBU jammie dodgers go all gooey and yummy in tea. LTB.

CrunchyNutNC · 05/09/2020 17:30

YABVU. A Jammy Dodger should be carefully nibbled around the edges leaving only the disc of jam, which is then eaten as one piece.

PurpleDaisies · 05/09/2020 17:33

Dunking biscuits is sacrilege full stop.

PinkBuffalo · 05/09/2020 17:36

Yanbu I love biscuits but my only dispute would that they should be dunked in coffee not tea

EveryPlanetHasAYorkshire · 05/09/2020 17:37

I tried this for the first time recently and it was divine so YANBU.

Averyyounggrandmaofsix · 05/09/2020 18:01

Custard creams in black coffee. Nothing beats that.

TroysMammy · 05/09/2020 18:04

Heathens. No biscuits should be dunked in tea. Tea must not be sullied with soggy biscuits and I'm a Jammie Dodger lover but tea is sacred.

WhyIsItSoHardToPickAUsername · 05/09/2020 18:05

All the people dunking biscuits in coffee. You are what is wrong with the world.

BiscuitBrew

Hm, yes, probably works but ginger nuts are the only biscuits which are really improved by dunking.

MJMG2015 · 05/09/2020 18:14

Sounds lovely!!

I low carb to control my T2diabetes, so I can't eat biscuits, dunked or undunked

But any biscuit is much improved with a good dunk!

Best one though...
I can't remember what they're called, it's been a long time, but they're similar to a penguin..both ends nibbled, hot drink sucked through, like a straw, biscuit goes melty inside so you have to be quick!!

Bliss.

Mummydaydreams · 05/09/2020 18:21

Yabu, don't dunk in your own tea, dunk them in his tea then yours won't have biscuit bits in but you will still have lovely dunked Jammy Dodger Grin

Batshittery · 05/09/2020 18:23

YABU to have jammy dodgers in the house. They're horrid. Biscuit

TheHighestSardine · 05/09/2020 18:45

I side with Mummydaydreams. Genius.

rainwaterflow · 05/09/2020 18:58

I dunk everything and anything. Jaffa Cakes, chocolate, individual Lindor balls, Ferrero Rocher.

Let’s tear down the divide between what’s considered Dunkable and Undunkable!! Vive la revolution!
