If someone was telling very serious lies about you but they had been proven to be malicious and no action was taken.
People believed them still ..would you try and make those people see that the other person is a liar?

Why don't they want to believe I'm innocent?
Why are they adamant I'm guilty when I've shown them that I'm not.

Because they love being involved in drama and gossip.. Nobody watched Jeremy Kyle hoping to see a happy ending!. They aren't your friends.

Suzi888 · 09/09/2020 15:38

YANBU I’d be furious!

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 09/09/2020 15:44

Those who matter don’t mind. Those who mind don’t matter. Plus you’re 9 days wonder. They’ll be talking about someone and something else next week.

idontthinkicare · 09/09/2020 15:53

Me and one of these "friends" text every day
I actually thought once I explained she was lying plus showed her proof she would realise how brainwashed she's been.

Also one of these friends has spoke to me for months every day knowing what this girl has done and believing it.

Don’t text or phone them from now on. They need to know that they’ve crossed a line and aren’t worthy of your friendship.

Sorry to be harsh, but her accusations are appalling and they need to apologize for not believing you. I know this is a hard time to drop contact, but do it for your own sake. If they value your friendship, they’ll apologize.

idontthinkicare · 09/09/2020 17:44

I don't want anything to do with them.
One of the girls sent me a long message explaining how I was lying etc
Then when I showed her I wasn't lying she didn't reply.

They’re not friends. You don’t owe them a single thing and unfortunately people who are so willing to believe lies and take it all at face value, are also infuriatingly unwilling to believe the truth, regardless of how much proof you give them. They are not friends, they’ve proved that to you now. I know it feels like an impossible task right now with all that’s happened and your mum dying too, but you really need to move on. You’re not going to get what you want from these people, they’re not going to say sorry or admit that they were wrong. Giving them this much headspace will only ever hurt you. I know it’s hard, it might even seem impossible right now, but you have to accept that they’re not going to believe you and accept that this is the end of your friendship.

BameChange123 · 10/09/2020 08:30

I am sorry you have had to experience false friends and 2 bereavements. I hope your mum didn't know about these allegations but it is awful you had to experience that unsupported. Focus yourself now on your mums funeral and consider taking a spa break afterwards to provide some positive self care for YOU.

I once had someone spread malicious misinformation about me. I just let it go. Every single person who sided with that person (5) has had some sort of karmic revenge. It took 8 years! 😈

idontthinkicare · 10/09/2020 09:22

I just feel so down about it.
Stupidly thought once I explained to them about her being a liar and showed proof they would understand.
Maybe even show remorse etc but nothing
Sent so many nasty messages calling me a liar
How do liars always seem to get the last laugh?

OP posts:
idontthinkicare · 10/09/2020 09:23

They know I've lost the most important 2 people in my life in the last two weeks.
I cried speaking about it to one of them because I couldn't hold my emotions in ..they still said I was a liar.
