So was supposed to have Asda delivery today. Dh was woken up by a call cancelling it. No offer to reschedule and we could have to wait up to a week to be refunded.
Now thankfully we paid by cr card so no real financial implications for us but this could leave people without food.

Yanbu.

MynephewR · 31/08/2020 22:27

I know quite a few families that would be completely screwed and unable to feed their kids if this happened the week before pay day. YANBU.

BigBlondeBimbo · 31/08/2020 22:30

Do you know, I think I've read a thread on here and long before covid, where exactly this happened with an Asda order?! And the poor op in that one was indeed screwed. She had no money and I'm sure she had no nappies for her baby or something? Unless I'm mixing up my threads!

Yanbu. That is rubbish.

Someone said the same thing happened with their Waitrose order as well today on another thread.

Wonder what's going on.

forrestgreen · 31/08/2020 22:30

Yep, same happened to me. I noticed an email at 10pm saying they couldn't take payment. I rang, only to be told they'd try three more times. I said that'll be useless as the card is fine, there's obviously a glitch that isn't going to be fixed overnight. She kept telling me there was nothing she could do. So I woke up to an email saying there'd be no Asda delivery. But don't worry, Sainsbury managed to put through an order on the same card. Won't be ordering with them again.

Yep that is shit.
We had a payment to an automated Asda petrol station taken twice and had the devil's own job to get the money back.
