To think that current pop music is dreary and dull?

I listen to a 70s station in the car and it just puts a huge grin on my face and brings back lovely memories.

Agree. I think 80s pop music is excellent too. Guess it’s a sign of age.

Couldn't tell you what current pop music is tbh - I'm 80s / 90s / classic rock with a smattering of more recent indie courtesy of the young adult sproglets. Yeah, probably a sign of age - was very sad when Aviici died.... loved that track of his that went mainstream..... LP is pretty cool... beyond that, haven't a scooby about current trends......

I agree OP, the vast majority of it is utter talentless shite

MinnieMousse · 31/08/2020 21:28

Yes, a lot of it sounds the same and they say the words really fast so you can't hear what they are. Most of the women put on this nasally sounding voice. I realise I sound like my Mum now!

There are a few good tunes that I'll join the DC in singing along to, but not much that stands out.

I hate it! I know it's my age but 90's pop was the best. Although I quite like The Weeknd

The old people said the same in every other decade. Now you’re the old people.
