pah! do not limit yourself to things you know about... if i did that i'd be screwed.

so how many converts, like the lady says? and how many fewer tamps bobbing around our oceans?

fangsandflash · 06/10/2007 23:09

Ah will sleep on the spouting crap bit and get back to you when feeling brave

susiecutie · 06/10/2007 23:09

hi aitch

I am still doing research about the new sling. I did get a reply from Claire and se said to email her and she'd talk to me about it there.. but she's not responded yet.

I did a good read around and seems the wrap around type is good for backs, so am looknig into that. I think i can get a long bit of fabric and use it in same way, having found directions on another site. cheaper me thinks

back till shitty though. very shitty.

fangsandflash · 06/10/2007 23:09

Not that you spout crap obviously

fangsandflash · 06/10/2007 23:10

susie - my back is crap too (another hot topic of convo) - have been having physio and went for a deep tissue massage today - was totally pummelled but feel much better.

AitchyBabesHugz2AllUHunnis · 06/10/2007 23:12

oh that's nice of her, she does seem like a good sort, i was impressed with ehr webchat.

AitchyBabesHugz2AllUHunnis · 06/10/2007 23:13

and yes, octo. obviously.

fangsandflash · 06/10/2007 23:15

Aitch - you always seem scary - but you're softy really!

ScaryScaryNight · 06/10/2007 23:20
AitchyBabesHugz2AllUHunnis · 06/10/2007 23:22

I seem scary?! me? seriously? wow. is it the hugz2alluhunnis? that is frightening me a bit, i'll admit...

susiecutie · 06/10/2007 23:23

Fangs.. cant get away from a crappy back can you.. with you when you sit, stand , lie , walk... cant think of someone pummeling mine just now... hurst to even touch the bastard thing. prolapsed disc.. again.

you can add me to your list of converts deffo though.

Aitch, she does sound like a good sort really. I was also impressed with how thorough she was in webchat. dont think her sling will be any good though, it doesnt do hip carry... which i really need...

susiecutie · 06/10/2007 23:24

Scary, i want a campervan SO much... but no money just now.. might be able to persuade Dh though, who is holding the folding..

wonders if that is a VERY antiquated 80's reference to cash if so,

AitchyBabesHugz2AllUHunnis · 06/10/2007 23:25

yes, it was good of her to answer all the questions. apart from yours, obviously. twice. lol.

fangsandflash · 06/10/2007 23:28

Mine started with a slipped disc about 7 years ago, then got better for a bit, then got whiplash in an accident, the spd in pg ... now its all down to the muscles spasming and getting too tight and the joints not being able to move etc ... and on and on .... luckily dh has health cover with his work so I get to have private physio whenever I want. We have done some serious crunching and accupuncture to release everything. He can also get rid of the headaches casued by C1 or C2 being out of line.... anad on and on....

susiecutie · 06/10/2007 23:33

lol, yes, cant believe mine was missed twice!!

Fang: mine was 'done' by a pateint falling on me about 2 -3 years ago. then when pg... pushing drugs trolly round. then i also had spd.. and so on. nightmare it was got better for about 3 weeks post baby and then back to being shitty. have better days then bad again... this time i was just changing the sheets on dd cot. leaning at just a slight angle and 'ping 'pain down legs numb foot.. you know just what i mean by the sound of it.

fangsandflash · 06/10/2007 23:37

Yes - when you lean in a slightly funny angle to do something and pain shoots down your back or something cracks or when you wake up in the night and can't move you neck without some degree of agony ... on that note am off to bed!

susiecutie · 07/10/2007 00:09

bought a Tempur mattress, and have slept so much better ever since... and dont tend to wake with pain now either...

hope you sleep well

ps. if you have a back problem, you can get Tempur matress v.a.t. free from a certain website... bloody need it as they are VERY expensive. but Dh felt guilty about his job moving 200 miles away so got me one

AitchyBabesHugz2AllUHunnis · 07/10/2007 00:17

i got a memory foam one, not the tempur brand but apparently the same stuff and it has helped dh a lot.

expatinscotland · 07/10/2007 00:18

Got a prescription for diazepam renewed.

Sleeping much better these days .

susiecutie · 07/10/2007 00:51

diazepam really really good for my back spasms... but not good for bf so cant take it...

slept on my brothers tempur matress for 3 weeks while we house sat and was SO good, didnt want to risk getting a different one it it not being.. anyway, was dh money... he wanted to get it for me ( after i subliminally made him night after night while he was asleep... )

Katymac · 07/10/2007 09:54

Ladies with bad backs.....me too

I wear a sort of velcro belt thing (esp if i going to be doing anything unusual) which kinda stops me stretching/twisting badly and has really reduced my incidents of pain

I also have seated acupressure massage & reflexology

SpiritualKnot · 07/10/2007 15:33

I know we're on bad backs now....but I've just ordered a mooncup as a result of reading this thread. It'll arrive in 1-3 days time and cost £14.75.Exciting stuff!

SK

FrannytheDruid · 07/10/2007 15:59

Even at wholesale prices I can only get them for £14.28, so it's not worth me selling them at the moment - they will be cheaper from Bodykind. If they stop doing the special deal, let me know and I'll probably be able to get some more. Am very pleased lots of people are being converted!
