"Oh and I forgot about gigs/ concerts- can never see anything, loads of standing around, pissed up people shoving you, self conscious dancing, miles to the loo, too loud to talk. Awful2

With respect..you're going to the wrong gigs. Try smaller venues where you can see the whites of their eyes. Gigs are the best thing ever.

SerenDippitty · 03/09/2020 10:10

Tans, fake or otherwise..

Imissmoominmama · 03/09/2020 10:11

Theme parks.

Christmas

Oh god...so much this. I hate Christmas..especially now that it starts in August. Sainsburys had mince pies this morning.

if I was in charge there would be nothing before December 1st.

All the enforced jollity (see also New Year's Eve) and the expense. Buying tat that nobody wants in exchange for tat that you don't want.

PollyPelargonium52 · 03/09/2020 10:16

Relationships.

RiverMeadow · 03/09/2020 10:26

Can't agree more with Mrs Hinch and New Years Eve!!!!

I used to really dislike NYE etc, but then we became old and stayed indoors watching Jools Holland ( which isn't live at all !) with wine or left over crisps and mince pies and it became ok again! Nobody has parties anymore.
It is overrated though and tv is generally bad all over Christmas and New Years.

SerenDippitty · 03/09/2020 11:06

DH and I either go away for NYE (holiday cottage or city break) or stay at home, do ourselves a little buffet and spend the evening sipping champagne and watching classic films.

Bearnecessity · 03/09/2020 11:07

OMG me too. I'd spend the whole of NYE asleep if I could get away with it.
belinda789 · 03/09/2020 13:17

@RiverMeadow

Milan.
I'm so with you on this.....
Awful dark tree lined streets, a nasty atmosphere there (the Mafia?), shocking highly priced clothes. I could go on......

SomewhereEast · 03/09/2020 14:01

Ok I love my DC put...

Giving birth, especially 'natural' birth. Squeezing a 9lb baby out of your vadge with narry a paracetamol in sight isn't a spiritual epiphany, really it isn't it.

The baby & toddler years. I got lots of "Enjoy it while it lasts! They grow up so fast!" from well-intentioned older ladies, to which my internal reaction was usually "not fucking fast enough!!!!"

My eldest was a horror sleeper though, which may have coloured my judgement Grin.

AllPlayedOut · 03/09/2020 14:02

Camping. I'd sooner go without a holiday for the rest of my life than try camping again.

Slippersandgin · 03/09/2020 14:03

Grey.
Mustard.
Grey and mustard.

And heated airers

Going to pubs

FOKKYFC · 03/09/2020 14:12

@AWiseWomanOnceSaidFuckThisShit

That Mr Brightside song
You are my people. I fucking hate it. Especially when groups of thirtysomethings sing it in pubs or on holiday videos they post on Facebook. Godawful.
