Should I complain?

To cut a very long story short. My mother recently was misdiagnosed with gastritis by an out of hours doctor despite presenting with lots of griping pain and severe vomiting for over 24 hours. She was sent away and told to get buscopan and call back 111 if it got worse (baring in mind my mother is 75!). After this took place my sister called me and I thought it sounded like appendicitis so I said to take mum straight to A&E because of pain she was in. Turns out, it was a lot worse than appendicitis. My Mother had a hemicolectomy due to a severely twisted bowel and she would have died IF they hadn't have operated.

Now, my concern is, that the doc she saw first should have at least suggested a trip to hospital just to be safe, however if I hadn't have said go, she might not be here... in fact, she wouldn't.

Am I right complain?
