Mirena Coil 1yr +

I've been on the Mirena Coil for 1year+ now and I've started experiencing awful sharp stabbing pain about a week before starting my period... Is this normal? Has anyone had this before? It's been like it for around 5 months now and the pain is unbearable!!!
Help!
The docs say it's my body getting used to the coil but its been a year +!!!

I've had mine since Feb 2019 and I've recently started experiencing this. However I dont actually get a period just sore breasts and a stabbing pain and migranes every 4 weeks.

I no longer have the Mirena but I did have it for five years and thought it was great. It stopped my periods totally and I never experienced any pain that you're describing. I think I would ask a different doctor as I wouldn't have thought it should cause any pain and it feels like you've been fobbed off. Surely your body is used to it a year on and I don't believe it should cause pain that you didn't have previously.
