To ask you how I can make my son's birthday special?

Ds is my youngest and will be turning 5 in a couple of weeks. He has asked me for a soft play party with his class like he had last year, but I don't want to do a big party because Covid. He doesn't have any close friends yet so I can't do a tea party for 3 or anything. I'm panicking. How can I make things special for him. Ideas welcome!

Take him on a day out to Thomas land/Peppa pig world or a local zoo etc.

Does he not have a group of 4/5 friends you can do a bouncy castle party for or is he 100 sold on the idea for soft play?

We moved just over a year ago and we haven't slotted into a friendship group for him yet, and then lockdown, so picking out a few kids would be tricky.

We're doing a couple of days at Legoland which is more extravagant than we would normally be as it's standing in for some of our cancelled holiday.

Thanks both. I think we will source some local trips we can go on like a nearby zoo or gruffalo trail. Thanks!
