Ok so don't want to sound utterly barking, but I've been dreaming alot recently and remembering them on waking which is unusual for me.

Recent dreams include flooding / bad weather dreams, suggesting danger to my adult son and his DP, and again last night I had a dream about him that also suggested he was at some sort of risk alongside weird details like he was having to wear a branded chicken style onesie for a promotional job (utterly not his bag at all)..... I also knew I was dreaming and decided to "fly" from one location to another.

I know it's probably just stuff to do with the bucketload of stress I've been under this year and my subconscious processing it, but added in, quite randomly was a bit where I and my DP were looking at social media and Prince Harry had died / been killed?!? I'm not remotely invested in the Royals so don't keep up with news about them and I feel a bit guilty about dreaming this which is bizarre and probably to do with my general anxiety at the moment......

I've looked up dream symbolism for some things, but ultimately am just a bit WTF? Mainly because the dreams are lingering I suppose and I'm feeling residue of the feelings from the dreams.... and no, I'm not a big believer in "woo" although have had some weird experiences..... I try to remain an open minded skeptic Wink

And I am aware that all this sounds utterly batshit, so thought I'd ask if anyone else is experiencing similar?

Doesn't sound at all batshit.
I've been dreaming a lot lately too and funnily enough rain features heavily in my dreams as well, including constantly being late to catch a train in an enormous train station.
My husband has also spoken of having vivid dreams and he hardly ever used to remember them.
A dear friend has reported similar.
Makes you wonder...
