All summer I’ve been doing Take a Bloody Break and Heart FM’s money competition, I just don’t seem to have any luck!!! Could really do with some good fortune, our finances are looking dire. I’ve never actually won anything so I was wondering if anyone on here has actually had any luck in these competitions?!!

I won an Ikea moon shaped wall light at the playgroup raffle, which was great and on my son's bedroom wall for years. He loved that light.

I won a £25.00 voucher from our local butchers in a school fair raffle.

I've been on a winning pub quiz team a few times. Usually win bottles of wine.

I've won quite a few £25 and £50 premium bond prizes.

We bought a new TV at around the time of the last World Cup. Anyway there was a World Cup related promotion of a free TV draw on, after we bought we entered the draw and a few weeks later we received a refund for the TV.

A few raffles and £20 in a bag of crisps once.

I won a massive chocolate hamper from Take a Break once. I've also won a couple of small prizes from teen magazines back in the day, Radox gift sets, that sort of thing. I play that Set for Life lottery game and have had quite a few regular smaller wins from that, probably enough to cover more than half my cost.

My mum used to play bingo and went through a phase of bringing home £1000+ every week for about 2 months. She ended up packing it in because she used to go with an ex-work colleague who she lost touch with after they were made redundant and they'd split the winnings, and they somehow heard about the wins, which were a good couple of years after the last time they went together. Anyway, the ex-colleague starting sending messages that she'd give my mum a tenner or something (tickets would cost around £20 per person) and my mum could give her £500 from each week's wins. Didn't happen!
