AIBU to be upset that I barely have any videos of DC? I seem to have a lot of photos but barely any videos and this makes me sad.

Do you have many videos?

How old are they? It's only recently become easy to take lots of videos, I've got tonnes of DD1 but not many of DD15.

YABU to be upset, you should have taken some. YANBU to be gutted you didn't.

I don't have many, loads and loads and loads of photos. We had a video camera when mine were small and a blackberry. Loads of videos didn't really happen until iPhones / equivalent were around

You're not unreasonable for feeling the way you do, but you can still take more now OP.

Like the others have said it's only become much easier now because of smartphones.

Why not put together some little slideshows if you have lots of photos, it's a nice halfway house and you can set them to music, insert some text etc

I have thousands of pictures of dd, but honestly only a handful of videos.

We have a two minute video of my 25 year old daughter aged about 18 months, given to us by friends. We have no video of our son, young.
We couldn't afford a camcorder at that time.
We finally bought one some years later but we can't get the images transferred.
We have many regrets about this.

I had a video recorder for Dd now 21, took loads of footage, tapes got mouldy and most were destroyed.

Real shame but those I do have have footage of other children. Have you asked friends to check their footage?
