Seriously stuck in a food rut at the moment and I’m so uninspired I’m rarely cooking a proper meal.

What’s on the menu in your home tonight?

Fast super easy comfort dinner today for our house - Pasta with crispy bacon, peas and sweetcorn in a Honey and Mustard sauce.

A sandwich - had a steak at lunch time

Well, I've developed a cough, and sinus issues - so no, we're not going out now. Bugger.

Oh well, the restaurant does takeout!

Chili con carne with rice

I didn’t have anything as I had McDonald’s at lunch with the kids which I haven’t had in years and it gave me a stomach upset 😂😂 So many lovely recipes and ideas to try, great thread OP

Lamb sausage, roast spuds, carrots

Vegan pulled "pork" sandwiches with potato wedges and corn on the cob

I just had French toast while my dd had scrambled eggs and toast.

Simple dinner today because we're tired!

No idea, I've got no appetite atm so maybe a few crackers and cheese, or crisps or something.

Pan fried cod, smoky tomato sauce (homemade, but out the freezer, so no effort!), Fried courgettes and garlic. Last night was apple dipped in peanut butter!

I've been working all day. Can't be bothered cooking. I'm having a baked falafel sandwich with pomegranates, pickles and lemon tahini. Will add some olives and hummus.

I had lentil and coconut soup - lots of turmeric, ginger and garlic.

The others had linguine, courgette and mushrooms, one son had lemon and garlic prawns and the other one and husband had lemon and garlic chicken.

Some sort of stew with chapattis. My older son is cooking tonight. It smells gorgeous.

Grilled pork chops with mash, sweet corn and green beans

Chicken cashew and rice. DH used to live in Shanghai and a few other places in east asia so makes spectacular asian food. Yum

Macaroni cheese. I had some leftover cheese sauce in the freezer so it was quick and easy

Minted lamb kebabs, pittas, cream cheese and rocket salad. Homemade banana muffins for pudding.

Grilled pork shoulder chops for the protein. On the side roasted aubergines, courgettes, peppers, onion and brocoli (cooked in olive oil and balsamic vinegar), topped with some griddled halloumi.

Feeling the med tonight.

Fish pie. It's sat in the fridge ready to bung in oven when DH get home after a cheeky few at our local 😉

Leftovers - a couple of chorizo sausages and a few new potatoes fried and mixed with leftover Aubergine parmigiana, possibly with a fried egg on top!

Ham, egg and chips. Simple, quick and guaranteed no moaning as everyone likes it.

Wine. Honestly, I'm so done with this day.

I had loads of random veg to use and some chicken left over from yesterday, so did a stir fry. Courgette, peppers, edemame beans, Pak choi, brocoli and rice noodles with chicken and katsu stir fry sauce. So nice and only took about 10 mins (plus hardly any washing up). If there wasn't some chicken ready to go would have just done the veg tbh.
