To ask for advice about job decision

Sorry, I know lots of threads like this come up often and I'm also v fortunate to be choosing from two jobs. Just looking for a 'which would you choose' type of advice! TIA.

  1. Current position, like it but don't love it, OK money with opportunities to progress. Nice company that invests time in training/CPD, get on with all my colleagues (bar one - although don't dislike them enough for it to be a reason to leave). Sometimes a very light workload which can be dull. Sometimes not, which is very enjoyable. Been there two years. Prior to applying for job 2, I envisioned myself here for the long haul.
  1. Offered role is basically the 'dream job' that I dreamt of during my degree(s). More money but more travel so would need my own car (currently share with DH) - overall not much of an increase in money due to increased outgoings. Would feel bad leaving my team in the lurch - we are about to enter a v busy period. DH and I were hoping to TTC from end of 2021, so would probably have to delay by a year or so. WFH available but some days in the London office (I live approx 2 hours by train away).

WWYD?

Dream job always. Don't worry about others they wouldn't about you. Follow your dreams.

I have a 1.5hr to 2hr commute into London but I love the job and I have learnt to quite enjoy that time with a podcast routine. I do miss DD’s bedtime sometimes and it’s the mum guilt that is that hard part. But you are not there yet and may feel differently after having DC.

I wouldn’t give up doing what I really wanted to do because of your team either. You have to live your life for you. And you applied for it so you know just how much you want the job.

I would take it.

I would follow your dream job and see what happens. It's better to try, than to stay in job 1 and wonder what would have been
