WWYD - moving in or own place?

We are moving nearer to parents for various reasons. We can either:

  • Rent our own place which, due to Covid-job loss, would leave money tight for a month or so and even tighter if DH needs to commute for training longer. We could use some of our deposit savings if needed to tide us over.
  • Move in with the parents for a bit (they have room) until we aren’t so stretched and protect the house deposit but forgo our space?

I think it very much depends on your relationship with your parents obviously.

Theres no way I could survive living with mine yet other friends have moved back in for 18 months plus during house renovations and loved it!
