DS has just eaten his own poo during a nappy change, I am mortified Blush couldn't believe it. Now worried he's going to become unwell.

AIBU to ask you what your toddlers have done in the past? Surely can't be as bad as this!

Oh no how old is he?!

starfish88 · 26/08/2020 11:34

My sister did the same as a baby, she's still here to be teased about it nearly 30 years later so I wouldn't worry too much.

My brother ate poo from the potty when he was little. My mum says she's traumatised. Grin

My child has been quite good, but recently we were on the side of a busy road (just getting out of the car to go to our allotment) and he thought it would be a great idea to throw a rock at passing cars. Nothing happened but it's such a dodgy road and people drive like nutters and I felt that what he had done had the potential to be really dangerous. We had to have some words.

Rolling in shit would be pretty high up there... Hasn't managed to eat it AFAIK though...

Pearsapiece · 26/08/2020 11:42

Haha ds hasn't managed eating shit yet but I'm sure it's only a matter of time. He has stuffed socks in his nappy for 'safe keeping' and then shat on them though

Frazzled13 · 26/08/2020 11:44

DD did that after pooing in the bath. She grabbed it before I grabbed her.

She didn't get ill though.

Wanttolearnmore · 26/08/2020 11:46

Don't think DS ate it but did smear shit all over himself, cot, and wall behind it on Monday while I thought he was having a nap. It was so disgusting cleaning it up I still feel a bit traumatised!

SarahAndQuack · 26/08/2020 12:16

She's never to my knowledge eaten poo, but when she wasn't yet weaning she laboriously heaved herself upright (she wasn't anywhere near walking) and swiped the half-coconut filled with fat and meal worms that I was about to put out for the birds, and started gumming it.

She's older now and some of the food combinations are perfectly acceptable in that the individual components are food designed for human consumption, but they absolutely revolt me. Scampi dipped in hot chocolate/milk curdled in lemon juice and eaten in scraggy curdled lumps.
