...to be 35 and still not know how to dress myself?

I’ve worn jeans and a nice top my entire life. Casual, dressy, whatever - always jeans and a nice top.

Now the trend for high/mid waist jeans has arrived and I’ve put on some weight I can’t find a single pair of jeans that doesn’t make me look six months pregnant.

So now all I wear is pyjamas at home and a suit to work Blush

AIBU to not have a clue how to wear anything apart from jeans?! Help!

What would you like to wear? Dresses and trainers? Wide-legged trousers and a tucked in shirt? The world is your oyster, depending on what you like and (to an extent) what suits you.

I am not a capsule wardrober by any means, but I wish I was. Hopefully someone will post who has some capsule piece suggestions, as that might be the best way to get out of your comfort zone, buying 4-5 complementary mix and match pieces that aren’t jeans.

You are not alone. I'm 40 and exist in t-shirts and jeans. I've no idea how to dress myself. I've toyed with online stylists but the general consensus is that they're mostly shit. I think I'll just live in my Choose Love top until the day I die.

The problem is I have no idea what I want to wear Blush

I still have a quite nice figure I think (size 10-12, bit wobbly but generally in proportion). But everything I choose is horrendously unflattering.

I genuinely think the nicest outfit I have is jeans and a black t shirt!

Check out Styled by Susie and her Facebook group (The Styled by Susie Sisterhood.) All totally normal women of various shapes and sizes and a lovely, helpful group.

I struggle too, I mostly live in leggings and a jumper dress in winter but summer is a disaster, everything is unflattering or impractical. Long dresses never have pockets, or cling to every lump making me look awful.

I’m a 12-14 and at the top end of a healthy BMI, so not huge, but finding nice flattering clothes is hard. I don’t have time to go shopping in person so rely on internet shopping.
