Birthday parties and function rooms?

Does anyone know the guidance on these? I'd booked a function room for the end of October for my 30th birthday party. I don't think I'm going to have it now as it would mean having to cut some people from the guest list. Not even sure if you can dance either. Does anyone know?

Ring and ask the venue as they will have the latest rules.

You may want to take into account that lots who are being careful won’t want to attend a large gathering indoors in winter. I’d not do it for an adults birthday party.

I booked it last year before the shit hit the fan. I've just cancelled it.
