We haven't been in 2 years. DD wants to go and DH thinks we should. Has it changed much in the past 2 years?

I like Haven. Have been to quite a few of their sites either in touring or static caravans. We also avoid the entertainment. Pools have always been nice.

It depends on the site. We have never had a bad holiday with haven (tbh I dreaded the first holiday with them but thought it would be ok for the kids and an acquaintance said they were brilliant). We tend to book platinum or prestige caravans so it’s pleasant for us and focus the holiday on things the kids want to do, swimming, kids activities (nature based ones) etc. The entertainment team varies site by site but again some are great. The children love it, they play team sports, archery, arts and crafts etc. We do one a year at least now whilst they are small as an extra holiday, maybe two. There is one site down in Dorset I thought was bit tatty but Wild Duck was very good (smaller) but not on the beach.

They have handled corona refunds excellently, click on an email and you get a refund or click on a different part of the email and you can rebook and get £50 free food and drink voucher. No hassle at all. They even rang to ensure we wouldn’t turn up (the weekend of lockdown). After speaking to lots of other people, many of whom are still awaiting refunds, I am unlikely to book with another holiday company next year and am likely to continue booking them whilst the children are young.

I've had many a happy Haven holiday. The kids loved them and they loved the evening entertainment too.

The reason we booked with haven initially is because hotels wouldn’t allow two breast fed babies (Twins) in a family room! Apparently a fire risk. They wanted one to sleep down the hall with dh. They would be a noise risk several times a night if one had been in a separate room with their dad, I think other guests would have found an issue with it. A 6 birth caravan meant I could cosleep with the twins.
