Eden jeggings?

Sorry completely random 12am post about clothes - here's hoping for traffic.

I bought a pair of Dorothy Perkins "Eden" Jeggings today. They fit lovely and are sooooooo much more comfortable than my jeans.

I love the way they look and feel but the size is "just right" and I would struggle if they were much smaller. I'm tempted to order some more whilst they're still on sale but I'm worried that once I wash them they'll shrink and not fit properly anymore /not be as nice hence wondering if I should size up - but on the other hand if they don't shrink the next size up might be a bit baggy and not sit as well.

Does anyone have a pair and know how well they hold up? Do they wash well? Do they last or do they need replacing often? Do they go baggy? Do they shrink?

Or maybe anyone with suggestions of Jeggings from other brands that are nice and affordable and can pass as jeans?

They don’t last very long but they are pretty cheap to compensate that.

All the colours fit differently, I find the black ones are thin material and don’t fit the same.

Freddiefox · 23/08/2020 00:26

They don’t last, they go a bit funny after a while, become stretched in places and not others. They are cheap material and go grey really quickly

RoomOfRequirement · 23/08/2020 00:29

They don't shrink so I would definitely just buy your regular size. But they dont last that long, I usually go through 2 pairs a year but that is with wearing and washing very often.

Also try their Frankie jeans, they're the most comfortable real jeans I've worn.

mrspuddleduckreturns · 23/08/2020 00:30

I have about 10 pairs either in the black or dark navy. I think they are great, super comfy and for the money last well. I work in early years so need to wash daily but they are great in my opinion. DP often have them on offer so try them and see but for the money I wouldn't expect them to last years. Smile

BellaPixi · 23/08/2020 02:43

I wear these all the time they are my fave jeans, so comfy. Definitely don’t shrink so i’d recommend to get your usual size

Eden Jeggings sounds like the name for a porn star

overweightcat · 23/08/2020 10:39

I've got the black ones which say "premium" on them but they were only £12 they had a navy pair but not premium (whatever that means) which looked exactly the same for £7 so at that I might just get some more.

Thanks for the tip I'll look at the frankie jeans too, I've lost a bit of weight and my next jeans I picked up in the sale in Jan are a bit loose and don't look very flattering anymore.

They don’t wash well but I’ve been buying them for years as they’re so comfortable and I wear them to work. The black ones do better than denim colours. I find they sag at the knees quite quickly too.

Shayisgreat · 23/08/2020 10:43

They don't shrink in the wash - they loosen up really quickly! I have so many pairs of Eden jeggings.

I read the title as Eden Jennings and wondered who she was and what she had done to get an AIBU thread.
Franticbutterfly · 23/08/2020 18:59

The always fall down on me. I stick to Next.

purpleme12 · 23/08/2020 19:03

I've got them too
Nothing bad to say about them
They've been fine for me in the wash
Don't shrink
But I've never found my jeans shrink in the wash!
And they last just as much as others I wear mine all the time

I completely agree with this. I get one well with all the colours except black! They all wash and tumble dry really well but black it's definitely a different size. I've tried several pairs over the years but they're always a bit tighter on the legs which means they ride up
overweightcat · 24/08/2020 12:40

I ended up with the black premium and they are really nice and comfortable.

Are the non premium ones as nice?

Or any other brands that do similar? I'll be putting an order in soon as my jeans are looking rather sad.

M&S skinny jeggins are much better in my experience.

JacobReesMogadishu · 25/08/2020 16:43

Try sainsburys jeggings as well.

overweightcat · 25/08/2020 17:10

@legalseagull do you know how they size in comparison to Dorothy Perkins? I lost some weight recently and I'm currently not 100% on my size especially since not all shops are consistent but the DP Jeggings and a pair of belted utility trousers from there fit me perfectly in a size 8.

OP posts:
legalseagull · 25/08/2020 22:21

They fit me the same as the DP ones but they're stretchier so more flexible. They wash better and keep their colour better too. Black stays black longer

AtLeastThreeDrinks · 25/08/2020 23:05

They changed the fabric a few years ago and honestly now they’re shit, wash horribly, the most recent pair I bought went saggy after the first wear and never recovered, even after a wash. I’m yet to find the perfect jeggings but these are a false economy as they wear out so fast.

Catmaiden · 25/08/2020 23:47

Sainsbury jeggings are good, as are Evans jeggings, which start at size 14

aintnothinbutagstring · 26/08/2020 00:31

I've had Eden jeggings, I think they lasted quite a while for the price, I'm not overly keen on jeggings of any brand though as I find the thick elastic waistbands cuts me in half when I sit down (and make me look a bit pregnant, they don't look good under tighter tops). The Frankie jeans are very comfortable with a proper waistband. My favourite jeans these days are Next relaxed skinny, they're not even skinny really.

WelcomeToGreenvale · 26/08/2020 02:32

The not premium ones don't have belt loops.

They're good, they fit well and last just as well as most other cheap jeans.
