To want to find and throttle sarcky welsh woman from Hoover/Candy Service

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!I need to vent sorry.

Am on my 2nd new washing machine since February, approximately 7/8 engineer visits and the damn thing is not working again!

They ordered new part for it last week and arranged engineer visit for tomorrow. They have just phoned to say the engineer is not actually in my area tomorrow and the best they can offer is Thurs 11th!!

I was trying to explain my disappointment at this to the advisor on the phone and she tried to hang up on me..I shouted "do not dare hang up, I want to speak to your manager", she then went on to argue with me that she was not going to put me through to her manager and just kept telling me she would only say the same thing to me as she had. Apparently she was "not interested in my personal circumstances"...grrrrr

Eventually I have arranged with them for an engineer to come on Monday, as well as an extension to my 1 yr warranty (which I'm sure I am going to need)....but I am still VERY VERY pissed off!

I've got 2 DS' in washable nappies (DS2 is only 9 wks and is currently ill) and piles of washing everywhere, we'll probably all be naked by Saturday!

Do you think it is worth making a written complaint or would it be a waste of my (obv very valuable) time and paper?

write it all down in a very consise, poliet but shitty letter, your long list of dealings with the company, inc. any ref numbers etc

address to the manager of the customer services dept (see if you can find the actual name on interweb or by phoning head office direct).

then send a copy to cusomer service manager, company director, head of sales. you get the idea.

don't forget that to mention taht you are going to speak with trading standards and local press if no premenant solution is found.

they'll be round first thing monday morn - hopefully!

Problem with a written complaint is that they might not get it until middle of next week due to this postal strike!
Out of order though not getting the manager, could be that the manager was telling her "say i'm not here", i've worked in call centers and it can get a bit like that.
That girl may have got all defensive as she was the 'pig in the middle' between irate customer and useless manager.
Just ring again and get someone else.

And whats wrong with being Welsh??? I'm Welsh and proud of it.
Could complain to MN about you being racist .
The Hoover factory is in Merthyr Tydfil and yes the folks up there can be quite sarky and they do have very strong accents.
Why do the english have problems with the Welsh and Scottish and Irish and then bleat on about accepting people from other lands and that we should not be racist to them...blahh...blahh..blahh.
