Whether it's in the media, something that's happened to you recently that is good or something else.

I need some positivity as the news is so depressing 🙂 Mumsnet can be full of doom and gloom too reading about redundancies, lockdown, Covid etc so it'd be nice to have a positive thread!

I love this idea! I agree about reading more positive stories, needs more of it.

At the start of the year I was thinking about giving up on my business, Yesterday I had sent my biggest invoice out to date, client paid today- really chuffed at the changes I’ve made to make this happen and the ball got rolling through the middle of lockdown so makes it all the sweeter.

Another thing that brightened my day today was my eldest niece sharing memories of time we have spent together to my 2 year old twin nieces, one of them loved the story so much she tried to tell the story like it was her own to everyone who would listen. The twins are of that age where they remind me to see beauty in everything, especially one of them everything is always a wonder to her and so beautiful, doesn’t matter whether it’s from buttercups or butterflies even the frogs in the garden her face will fill with joy and it’s definitely a reminder to switch off mentally and to focus on what is around me all of the time that I don’t notice.

My mum finally has a date for her cataract op, that was delayed from the start of the year. She is completely blind now, having had to wait over a year to get to the top of the waiting list.
There was much crying when that letter came today.
I cannot tell you how much damage has been done to her mental health this year, keeping everything crossed it now goes ahead.

Today my teen daughter got a pet frog, she's had lots of mh issues and and asd.

She has been happily skipping around grinning for ear to ear.

Mrs jumpy legs has been well worth the investment :)

I've just passed the first module of a level 2 'Awareness of mental health problems' course. It's distance learning and all coursework based, so easier than having to physically go to a class.

I got really good feedback even though I haven't studied anything for over twenty years. I feel surprisingly proud Smile

Our foster dog has gone to bed without crying tonight. He just arrived yesterday.

@DaffodilsAreMyFav I hope the pooch settles in soon. That's a really good sign he/she has fallen asleep with no crying.

Will you become part of the failed foster club? I fostered two dogs (separately) and still have them 😂 I just fell in love with them.

Love Holidays have promised me the money we are due from our cancelled holiday (were flying this weekend) will be with us in full in 3-5 days.

IF this is true I will be delighted Grin sort of feel I'll believe it when I see it though...

One very fun uncle made his young nephew’s lockdown dream come true by building a rollercoaster in the backyard that was based on the 11-year-old’s design.

My five week old baby smiled a couple of hours ago and I think it was her first proper smile Smile

She took over two years TTC and was a product of our final attempt at clomid before IVF. Even if it was wind again, she makes me deliriously happy.
