I really want to get into something good to watch but every night I've gotten into a routine of spending most of the time in the evening going through Netflix, prime etc and then it gets too late so I stick a documentary or something I've seen before on. So please send recommendations of really good/binge worthy series my way!

Coroner
9-1-1
Sopranos (again)

WellThankyouAJPTaylor · 21/08/2020 19:46

I have just finished a series on Prime called UnREAL, a real undiscovered gem IMO. It's about behind the scenes shenanigans on the set of The Bachelor a reality dating show in America.

Lots of manipulating, manoeuvring, shifting allegiances, betrayal, sociopathy and a really interesting relationship between the two central female characters. They do terrible, awful things to get ratings, but you still somehow root for them.

REALLY good! Try it!

VestaTilley · 21/08/2020 19:48

Mrs America on iplayer. It is SO good- every woman should watch it.

ChristmasFluff · 21/08/2020 21:02

The Deceived on My5 was bloody great - only 4 episodes, and I was hooked from about 10 minutes in.

Also really surprised non-one has mentioned American Horror Story. It's genius.

Will be watching Harlots from the recommendations here (have seen most of the others)

Croprotationinthe14thcentury · 21/08/2020 21:39

The us office. So so funny and easy to watch. Better call Saul I think is even better than BB. Its brilliant. Mind Hunter is good too.

SparklesAllOver · 21/08/2020 21:42

Ozark
Real Housewives of Everywhere
Lovecraft Country
Supernatural
Below Deck
Selling Sunset

lioncitygirl · 21/08/2020 21:44

Queen of the south, this is us,

BK187 · 21/08/2020 21:44

Whoever is watching lost. Don’t waste anymore of your life. It gets worse by the season.

alibongo5 · 21/08/2020 22:00

The Marvelous Mrs Maisel - funny warm and entertaining about a female Jewish comedian in the 50s. On Prime.

And absolutely loved Line of Duty. If anyone hasn't seen it, go and start watching it - now.

Parmavioletmum · 21/08/2020 22:20

Currently watching the fall.
But I love the following as well;

Designated survivor
Greys anatomy (watched several times now)
American Horror Stories
Modern Family (good and lighthearted)
Breaking Bad
Working moms

So many good series out there. Just depends what sorts of things you like.

3catsandcounting · 21/08/2020 22:27

White lines - not convinced
Big Little Lies - fabulous beach houses and very angry people.
I'm sticking with both.

chipsandpeas · 21/08/2020 22:28

im rewatching true blood

Bedsheets4knickers · 21/08/2020 22:29

The looming Tower ,

bottlenose301 · 21/08/2020 22:29

Just started watching The Crown on Netflix and I like it so far.

Game of thrones (turned my nose up at it at the time and binged it during lockdown - best thing I've watched!)
Breaking bad
The Bridge
Married at first sight Australia
The Last Dance

toomuchlikemyusername · 21/08/2020 22:36

Designated Survivor on Netflix. Got hooked a few episodes in on series 1. Couldn't believe how many episodes there were in series 1, it just kept on going. Fab. Now on series 2. Has given me what I was missing from the glorious West Wing days.

Also loved Virgin River on Netflix for easy watching, feel good romancey type stuff.

The Crown of course.

I'd love to watch The Fall but I think I will be too scared. Watched the first 10 seconds of the first episode and turned it over. Nothing happened as such but it felt too suspenseful (I am a scaredy-cat!)

Will check out the Money Heist as that sounds good.

KingOfDogShite · 21/08/2020 22:40

@chipsandpeas

im rewatching true blood
My favourite series ever! Where are you watching it?
tidlywinksthebarbershop · 21/08/2020 22:40

Watch Killing Eve, It's amazing, BBC IPlayer

Malaya · 21/08/2020 22:56

I recommend Elementary. A friend told me about it and I thought I’d give it a go. I’m hooked. It’s also on season 7 so loads of episodes to binge watch.

I also liked Sweet Magnolias and Virgin River on Netflix.

Vikings on Prime.

ItsAlwaysSunnyOnMN · 21/08/2020 23:24

Just finished Little Fires Everywhere

It was good. Similar but not as good as Big Little Lies

Inspired by another thread I’m watching Frasier Smile

RAOK · 21/08/2020 23:27

Dirty John definitely 😊

Ironfloor269 · 21/08/2020 23:30

The Marvellous Mrs. Maisel (on Prime) if you like Gilmore Girls.

VampireBill · 21/08/2020 23:31

Can you guess?? True Blood

I watched bits of it first time around, it's making a lot more sense now I'm watching every episode.

And yes, Lost person, you really must stop now, it's really not worth it and you'll be really cross with yourself as for wasting your time when you get to the end.

I watched a lot of er on sky a year or two back, then it stopped, don't suppose anyone knows which series it stopped at? I can remember people complaining about it.

Bellie99 · 21/08/2020 23:32

Cardinal
Condor
Unforgotten
Madam secretary

Bogglem · 21/08/2020 23:36

Can highly recommend HOLLYWOOD on Netflix! Only 7 episodes long but sucked me right in and I'm hoping they commission a second series.
Its from the creator of AHS and not what I was expecting at all

CrowleysBentley · 21/08/2020 23:44

If you haven't seen what we do in the shadows, watch that. Both series are on I player it's amazing, and hilarious.
