Im talking London. Theres five down my street. I just dont get how they are still open past 11pm. Im sick of reporting to the police online. I dont know if theres a law which states when they can be ipen. I live on this road and im sick to death of the people that hang around them, smoking, drinking, bouncing footballs and inevitably arguing. Ive been outside tonight asking for them to at least stop bouncing the ball we are all trying to sleep. Im just greeted with blank stares. The music is good but its not the point. People in the flat next door have young children I have older pensioners the next side to me. I cant move, could never afford it. It seems ever shop that becomes available turns into a barbers and really if they shut at 9pm it wouldnt be an issue.

You'd be happy with 9pm?! Ours all shut at 5!

premiumshoes · 21/08/2020 01:11

You are reporting barbers for being open?

YerAWizardHarry · 21/08/2020 01:13

@premiumshoes at 11pm and making excessive noise, her complaint is totally reasonable

premiumshoes · 21/08/2020 01:15

Is barber code for something else?

In South London they are social hang outs.

I have nothing to add except I'm now going around the house singing ' Don't scratch my Soca'. I used to love Desmond's alI fear I'm going to go down a rabbit hole on YouTube

Report to the local council for noise nuisance

Or move off a high street.

whatever1980 · 21/08/2020 03:11

Planning permission should include opening times try planning enforcement at local council

Like I said Ive no intention of moving Ive been here 15 years. The barbers are all lovely. Its what happens on a night that is getting to me. Music weed that bloody football last night bouncing. The council told me to keep a noise diary. When it was exceptionally bad two weeks ago the police came and had a laugh with them all. After they left it was even louder. Like I said I have no problem but once 9pm comes I just want to wind down after work.
