Ds and I have decided not to go abroad for a years years under the circumstances (should have gone to Spain yesterday!) and instead use the money to invest in an air tent and all decent accessories for camping (he wants a paddleboard too!).

He actually did say he's love a HP tent - he'd be happy with just an en suite

It actually pains me how badly that bell tent has been put up. Like it was thrown up in half an hour by someone who’d never seen a tent before.

And now the farmer who owns the field that the tent is in has been interviewed by the DM. He’s pissed off that Boris and Carrie have climbed over a fence to get to the field, also annoyed they lit a campfire which he says was dangerous.

In a badly pitched bell tent with a 4 month old? I don't think so.

I've just had a look at the DM and they have a picture of an angry farmer who said that he set up the tent without permission! Not read it all , but it didn't sound good.
Must have security around : why didn't they tell him not to set it up ?

They have blatantly just hastily put up that tent for the photo op and on private land no less, how embarrassing. Wonder where he's really staying?

He lit a fire without permission too , apparently.

Maybe Dominic Cummings showed up and his eyesight was playing him up again so much he didn't realize you needed permission to camp and light fires wherever you want! Or they just thought the owner would be bowled over by having the P M on his land and not really care too much? Either way someone has messed up here. It's not good.

So the whole camping thing was a staged photo-op. They saw some land and pitched the tent up to take a photo. If they had used a real campsite it would have involved more people that could expose the lie.

So the very badly put up tent's on a slope down the sea and we're meant to believe the PM slept in this in high winds? And put the tent up but just left it there, and left chairs from the kitchen out by the fence.
The tent wasn't there a few days earlier.
Why climb the fence to pitch your tent and not just put it by the cottage?
Where are all the security people meant to have slept?
Even the fire looks a bit of a half arsed attempt to me.

I find it extremely hard to believe that he spent 2 weeks in that cottage. He seems fond of going to Chequers, which of course was at his disposal and slightly more luxurious.

I thought it was bad enough when we discovered a cow in the garden. But imagine finding the prime minister and his family in your back yard

The cottage looks shit. I don't have the highest standards but I wouldn't have booked it. It has the same crap pine furniture as my rented flat that was furnished in the late 80's
