Jo Malone - to complain re candle damage

I just opened a new candle and the matches that came with it are faulty. The top came off of the match and split into 3 pieces, 2 onto the carpet and 1 onto a dresser. I was dealing with the carpet first and in the meantime the top of the dresser has little burn marks from the match.
It’s antique and not in perfect condition but the burn mark is obvious and I’m pissed.

Can I complain about this? The candle was 64 quid so I’d expect the matches to not burn my furniture.

I can't help myself £64 for a candle??? Even our huge paschal candle at work is only £40, beeswax too

If anyone wants posh candles, Charles Farris is good, they supply most churches but also do scented home candles

@combatbarbie

I bought it at the JM counter at Gatwick, it was beautifully wrapped in a box with a big red bow. I guess the fact I bought It at the airport explains the lack of matches.

@VinylDetective

Matches? How common, surely one has a silver candle lighter?
