To help if you're from York

It's my mums 50th coming up so I've booked an Airbnb in the centre of york and a late lunch at the ivy.

But I'm really struggling to organise where to go after? She really doesn't like "quirky pub that sell funny beer" which york seem to have a lot of.

I don't really want to resort to the botanist/revs etc

Where can we go for nice cocktails afterwards? Is there anywhere girly and pretty?

Disclaimer - I've been to the evil eye and didn't love it.

For nice cocktails at an independent perhaps try manhatta? Not been myself but it’s meant to be nice. Or bobo lobo has a lovely terrace. Bora bora is nice outside too, but perhaps aimed at a slightly younger market.

Also, not for cocktails, but the market cat is a lovely little bar near the market.

Not much help because I love the "quirky pub that sells funny beer" so I rarely went anywhere else! The only cocktail place I used to like was the slug and lettuce tbh, but manhatta is nice I hear.

I know! I love a quirky pub with funny beer Grin

She is fussy! We love Manahatta's so I'll book there and bar hop between food and settling there.

The Biltmore sounds like the sort of place you’re after
