I feel like sometimes it is really easy to mindlessly go through days without really enjoying them. I realised this was a problem for me recently when I was having what was supposed to be a fun day out at the beach. However, instead of just relaxing I felt irritated by every little thing - it's too hot, there's sand everywhere, the blanket keeps moving, etc. I realised if I can't even enjoy what is supposed to be a good day then I most definitely am not enjoying the normal, mundane days which make up the large majority of my life.

Does anyone else feel like this? If not, how do you ensure you enjoy your day, even mundane "normal" days?

Do you have dc?
Is it a mindset you have generally or just on that day? To be honest, I hate beaches on hot days so would’ve been rubbish on your day out but generally, I do things that I enjoy and do things that feel like an achievement whether it’s something mundane like cooking or a chore or something a bit more cerebral or mentally stimulating.
I go out most days as I enjoy it.

No much help OP but watching with interest.

For me I do find getting up, going for a run before the day fully starts helps my mindset. HOWEVER, with 3 DC and work it’s not often realistic.
