When can you stop using the safety sleep rules like using pillows ect?

Ds is 10 months and would to sleep with a pillow. He naps during the day better with a pillow (with me watching) currently co sleeping but would like my bed back now.
Basically aibu to use a pillow now?

Ahh I might wait a bit then. Is it a really flat pillow needed? Also is that the same age you can have a blanket ect while sleeping?

My 9 month old sleeps in his cot with a toddler pillow. Has been doing it for 3-4 weeks and no issues. My nearly 2 year old had also been creeping with a toddler pillow since about the same age and no issues. Toddler pillows are light and they can easily move them. Recommended age is from 1 year though. Just make sure it's not a full size pillow as they are heavier and potentially more dangerous because of that, I'd assume.

The issue is with duvets not blankets. We used a duvet to adult waist height with blankets above from about 3m. Neither Ds2 ever wriggled down the bed though
