AIBU to expect a full refund from Paypal, not just postage and wait two weeks for the rest?!

Posting partly for traffic but also because I am not sure if what I'm being told is correct - bought an item which the supplier couldn't fulfil, paid via Paypal in one payment. Supplier then issued a refund but only the postage has gone back into my bank, the other hundreds Paypal say they "fronted" for me - even though my bank account was debited in full as a single payment - and it will just appear back in my bank before the end of the month as they need to receive the money from my bank before they can send it back. Has anyone else had a similar experience and got a full refund as to me this seems an absolute cheek?

PayPal can be like this. Have you called more than once?

PayPal are known for keeping your money. They have terrible reviews on trust pilot.

They release your money eventually, after they've had a chance to earn interest from it.

I hadn't called, have only done the messenger... glad to hear it's not a one-off occurence by the sounds of it at least Hmm perhaps I'll give it a week and follow up. Does anyone know if it's worth seeing if my bank would help if not? Paypal transaction was funded by bank transfer
