We are on local lockdown, everyone is mixing in my extended family and dil's.
Our immediate family aren't.
I haven't seen my granddaughter in ages, she'll not know who grandma is, but knows everyone else.
I'm so upset, it's breaking my heart to see them all on fb talking about visits. I sit here and cry.

Sorry OP, that’s very tough.

Can you FaceTime with your granddaughter? It will help keep her familiar with you until you can go back to visiting.

Aw I’m so sorry you’re feeling so down. I’m sure they have no idea they are causing so much pain. Could you have them to a garden for a cup of tea?

She'll know you!! This awful time won't last forever. Really feeling for you though. But you are putting her needs before your wants x

Aw, thank you. I am feeling sorry for myself as we'd just started to really bond. Yes we facetime and are so lucky for that.
It's so awful for so many people, the kids are having an awful time atm.
Hopefully we can use the gardens soon, and mix households again.
