Should I pay for private scan?

Posting for traffic.
2 years ago I had issues with mild pelvic pain+ pregnancy symptoms. Erratic weird periods put down to breastfeeding. Negative preg tests. Was referred for a scan for cysts but miscarried(full on labour contractions and passed what looked like an embryo :-() before scan.

Stupidly was too shocked to follow up after gp receptionist told me it can't have been a miscarriage as no bleeding with embryo. All symptoms resolved completely after I passed whatever it was. Scan a few weeks later was normal.

Have same symptoms now but no bleeding and had a faint positive in May but none since so thought faulty test. Have had 2 children with positive tests before so could I really have been pregnant then and maybe now? Not sure whether to pay for a private wellwoman scan thing?

Have you spoken to a doctor about it this time? If not that would be my first port of call. If they are unhelpful get a second opinion and if the second dr is no help and you can afford it, then in your shoes I would get a private scan.

I haven't been able to get an appointment yet as none left by the time they answer. Last time the gp had a feel and referred for a scan due to tenderness.

When I asked about scans today though the receptionist said only very urgent referrals are being done. I had a wait of 6 weeks 2 years ago so dread to think how long it would be this time.

My periods haven't returned yet so I don't understand how it could be cysts and pregnancy would be highly unlikely(though not impossible? )Feel like I'm going a bit mad.

Think I should pay for the scan for peace of mind!
