Would you feel safe enough going to the cinema now, alone or with children?

Have been 3 times. Once to Odeon (and I like a PP we absolutely could prebook and pick our seats online in advance so may depend on which you go to) and twice to Cineworld. All three times only us and 1/2 other families in and miles apart - I’d say at least 6 metres. Felt safe and clean.

I did book the back row for all three films as knew I wouldn’t be comfortable with people sat behind us - so that was my personal condition regarding reducing risk.

We went to a drive in tonight. It was great, the best two hour traffic jam we’ve ever sat in! I’m hoping it’s the future.

For those of you who did drive in, do you have a good view even if day in the back?

Picklypickles · 13/08/2020 22:23

No thanks, I don't really fancy paying a small fortune to sit and watch a film with a mask on for several hours, I'll stick with Netflix!

It was great. We really enjoyed it. We had a great view. Tesco even gave us free popcorn! I can’t recommend it too highly.

Thank you @VinylDetective

Sorry to resurrect this thread but just watched an item on cinemas on BBC1 news. It looks as though masks are compulsory in seats but can be removed for eating and drinking. Can anyone enlighten? Seems to be a bit of a mixed message.

No, very uncomfortable in masks but there are drive thru and I'd do that
