DH thinks they are mosquito bites but I’m not sure

He only has them on his stomach and they itch

Could possibly be chicken pox. How long has he had them? Chicken pox tends to go from one or two spots initially to covered in them within a day or so, so you'll know if lots more appear.

He just woke up with them this morning. I though chicken pox so I guess wait and see if they spread as you say

Although he did have chicken pox when he was a baby so maybe not

I think that they look like they could potentially be chicken pox, I guess a day or two will tell! My daughter had them for her first birthday and then again when she was 4, so it can happen twice unfortunately.

Fedup21 · 13/08/2020 08:33

They look more like flea bites actually.

Gobbycop · 13/08/2020 08:34

I'd go with bed bug bites.

They look like that to me.

catgirl1976 · 13/08/2020 08:39

Eeek! How do you get bed bugs - I only washed his bedding two days ago and it gets washed weekly. We do have a cat but he gets for treated every six weeks for fleas.

I’ve just bought a few bits of vintage furniture.....I wonder if bed bugs came with it 😩. I feel itchy now.

Hahaha, it's no reflection on your cleaning regime. I think most beds have them unfortunately.

Worth stripping off mattress and bedding and even clean around frame ect.

You can get sprays but it depends on how happy you are using chemicals. I'm sure there'll be a natural alternative like tea tree oil or something.

I'm just guessing though. I did also initially think fleas but they normally like ankles.

catgirl1976 · 13/08/2020 09:34

I’ll give everything a boil wash and clean all the frames. They do look like bites of some sort so I guess it’s bugs or fleas. Off to inspect the cat and do some deep cleaning 😂

They look like bites. Was he playing in the garden or anything yesterday to have got bitten? Or maybe left a window open and something got in that way? Whenever I get bitten, my bites don’t start to appear for until a good few hours later.

TheLovleyChebbyMcGee · 13/08/2020 09:43

unlikely to be bed bugs, and most beds don't have them, if they did we'd all have bites all the time!

I'm going with flea bites, we have 3 cats and I still get bitten occasionally as the wee critters can still hitch a ride inside, get the flea treatment, bite someone then die quite quickly afterwards, or yes, something in the garden possibly too

catgirl1976 · 13/08/2020 10:10

He has been out in the garden. Cat seems flea free but who knows. Bedding a in the wash in any case 😂
