My teenager has just told me that Rick Astley is real music - AIBU to send for urgent help?

We went to see him about 2 years ago. Was ace.

I love his new stuff. Heard him support Take That and was surprised how awesome he was. Bought his album off they back of it and kids now know every word!

I saw him at the IOW festival last year, and after his spot he later got on stage and sang with Bastille, went down a storm! He seems to have far more cred now than he ever did back in the day......

Hang on which Rick Astley does he mean, the SAW puppet who went into hiding because he couldn't stand his own music or the more recent resurgence? I don't think anyone can argue he isn't talented.

Rag n Bone Man has a fabulous voice with a huge vocal range.

Rick Astley is a good singer, and talented, but does not have a voice like Raggie!

I despise all music snobs. Rick Astley is a consummate professional, damn good singer who hasn't lost much with age, and has a few big tunes and one timeless one. He's also played with the Foo Fighters live on stage who invited him to perform with them. So yeah... I think a lot of musicians would love a career like that. Respect to him.

Rick Astley's singing voice is quite lovely. Rick Astley's speaking voice makes my undercrackers fall instantly to my ankles.

Not going to mention to mine. They are very keen on Dexy's Midnight Runners, and John Denver. FML.

I knew him as a nice lad before he was famous. When he hit the big time we thought he was so naff.
My Mum and my Auntie were best mates with his Mum and went to the bingo together most weeks. I often had to drive them home!
She was lovely but bonkers, a good laugh and the life and soul of the party.

He’s a bit cheesy but has a good voice live and seems like a nice bloke. Compared to some of the diva pop stars today I think he’s pretty decent!

He supported Take That last year, and he was bloody brilliant. I thought he was ok back in the day, but I love him now. His rendition of Rag n Bone Man's Giant is superb
