I have been on here for years...wasted hours of my life but aibu is not only my favourite part of mn but i am addicted.
I have been flamed on here and it still dosn't put me off!
Is it the drama, the moral dilemmas or the great tales of cf???

Ha me too! I dip in and out. I forget about it for ages and then be like ‘oh I wonder what’s going on’ ... and waste time for days!

YANBU Grin
I love reading the different opinions!

Yes, like any addiction it starts off well.

But then you find yourself checking it compulsively at 2am when there's sfa entertaining about it but you can't help yourself.

I love reading some of the batshit responses.

My main love of AIBU is seeing those folk who are clearly struggling with whatever issue it is, then to see the collective loveness of MNetters pile in to support.

MaskingForIt · 11/08/2020 22:16

Because it is like watching a slo-mo train wreck.

Serin · 11/08/2020 22:18

It spills over into real life as well.
Sometimes I find myself using MN phrases (even if just in my own head) like LTB and "Did you mean yo be so rude".

Burnthurst187 · 11/08/2020 22:21

A large percentage of AIBU posts shouldn't even be in that section. The poster states just posting for traffic. Bit of a joke really

ItsAlwaysSunnyOnMN · 11/08/2020 22:29

Because many of us like a good old argument Grin

Is it the drama, the moral dilemmas or the great tales of cf???

All of the above.

Mumfymum · 11/08/2020 22:36

AIBU has some magical mystical time-stopping properties whereby you think you've just had a quick scroll through for half an hour and - BAM! - you've lost 4 hours of your life 🤣

tobee · 11/08/2020 22:50

I like trying to pick which way it's going to go. I often get it wrong

Flatpackback · 11/08/2020 23:02

I love the randomness and variety of issues from the heartbreaking to the plain bat shit crazy; also the range and unpredictability of responses from supportive hand holding to downright vile nastiness. I‘ve got really hooked since lockdown though, it’s filling the gap left by lack of real life contact.

drivingmisspotty · 11/08/2020 23:07

I think it’s just basic gossip, isn’t it? It’s all the kind of things we talk about and pontificate over with our mates and when your mates are not around AIBU is the perfect filler. Nothing like setting the world to rights or a good old debate.
