To ask whether these can all be faint positives

Had a baby four months ago. Periods have been erratic, been using condoms but one split (genuinely) and another time I had unprotected sex by my own fault. Can't go on any other contraception bar the coil and I'm not keen on the idea.

Over the last few days I've done a few pregnancy tests. On the first day I had a very very faint positive on a clear blue. Took another the next day and another faint. That evening took a FR and it was negative. However took another one this evening and had a stronger positive (still faint) on another clear blue. Took another clear blue and again same faint positive. I know about evap lines but they are blue lines and they all appeared in under a minute?! No idea what's going on. Anyone else had multiple false positives?

False positives are very rare.

False negatives can happen quite frequently by all accounts but false positives are definitely not common.

I never trust blue dye pregnancy tests. First responses are more reliable. I'd say you have nothing to worry about.

It is odd the FR was negative. I prefer pink dye to blue tests.

A lot of people have said they don’t trust clear blue as they’ve had false positives. I used them with DS. I’m just confused as to how I could have four in a row, but a negative FR.

False positives are rare,and very unlikely to get four in a row. You should test your first pee as the hormone the early pregnancy tests look for is most concentrated in your morning urine.
It's possible the first response was negative as you tested late in the day and you could be early days pregnant.

Can you try again with the first wee tomorrow on one that actually says 'pregnant' or 'not pregnant' just to give you clarity?

Seeing the tests would be useful if you still have them. Agree with PP about results being stronger / more accurate in the morning. Was the FR later in the day?

I have a year between ds2 and ds3. It was quite a shock, but lovely now!

That looks like an evap line. I'd say almost definitely negative.

I'm not sure what to feel to be honest @Thehop, I'm just still not convinced because of the FR being negative. :/

Just to add, I've had false positive (faint line) on all clear blue tests I've done. Never on FR

I hate FR, found them useless! Home Bargains cheap tests (not strips) all the way. Got a faint positive 5 days before I was due on, then got darker everyday. However, I did have an early miscarriage before that where the line just stayed really faint for about 2 weeks before it just disappeared.

Hmm, if it showed up within the time frame then I do think positive OP. Maybe try again in the morning with a test that says pos or neg on the screen.

Also Superdrug own tests are really good and fairly cheap and I prefer pink dye tests.
