At the end of my tether with this so need perspective.

We moved into our new house over a year ago.

Within weeks I made a complaint about our floor tiles as they were lifting.

After several months the flooring company admitted there WAS a problem with the floor and it had to be replaced.

This flooring company (builders nominated flooring supplier and included in the price of the house) lifted the tiles.

Flooring expert said the floor was too damp to replace and we had to let it dry out.

6 weeks of walking on underlay all during lockdown

Flooring people said the floor still wasn’t dry enough and we had to lift the underlay.

Have been walking on bare concrete throughout whole downstairs for weeks (approx 5 weeks now)

Eventually told we could order new flooring. Tiles we picked weren’t in stock, there was nothing else that matched the rest of the house. Remember the house is fully decorated, so floor has to compliment.

They finally agreed we could go to any floor shop to choose our floor and they’d pay for it.

Cue more dragging of heels. We’d picked a suitable floor and got a good price for the builder.

They have to order it as we’ve paid £4K for the floor to the builder which had to be ripped up and don’t have the funds to pay.

They haven’t contacted the other place to place the order and I’m so pissed off.

I’ve attached a picture to show what we have. I know there are worse problems to have but I NEVER dreamed I would be walking on bare concrete in my new house one year on.

Y ANBU but unfortunately this happens. Not a dissimilar situation with our shower tiles and we started legal proceedings after two years of waiting.

We went to BBC3 Counties Radio The JVS Consumer Show who took our case on for us. Should not have had to but it worked.

Sorry you’re going through it Sad
